To locate the Knight of the Splendent Heart, fast travel to the Royal Meadows obelisk in the Holy Empire of Sanbreque. From the fast travel point, travel northeast toward the massive stone entrance known as The Penitent's Gate. The knight stands alone directly on the main pathway right outside the city gates, making him easy to spot.
If you have not unlocked the Royal Meadows waypoint yet, you can spawn at Northreach and ride your chocobo northeast across the fields. Following the road straight toward the fortress walls will bring you face-to-face with the boss.
Combat Tactics and Moveset Strategy
This battle demands careful defensive play due to the dragoon's extreme speed and aerial mobility. The boss regularly executes Mirage Dive attacks, spawning blue vertical lines on the ground that detonate after a short delay. Stay in constant motion to avoid these impact zones and prepare to dodge the follow-up dragoon jump.
